Introduction to Ashtanga

This class is special for those students with little or no experience with the practice, and who want to start. In them we typically cover the Sun Salutations and, depending on the group, we begin to explore the initial standing postures sequence, offering an accessible approach for the beginner.

First Guided Series

Guided class in which we cover the First Series of Ashtanga yoga following the traditional account, emphasizing the correct breathing and look for each movement.Unlike Mysore, guided classes start at the set time. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the class. Otherwise, we can not guarantee access to the yoga room.In the guided classes we welcome both beginners and experienced students. Keep in mind that the teacher may ask you at some point in the class to stop, in order to ensure an adequate and safe rhythm of progress.

Ashtanga Mysore

Self-assisted practice format in which the student practices a sequence appropriate to their experience and ability. The teacher is in the room offering instruction and assistance when necessary. The Mysore environment is ideal for practicing Ashtanga yoga, since it allows a gradual learning of the sequence offering a personalization depending on the reality of each individual. It is the closest thing to a private session in a group setting. The arrival to Mysore classes is flexible. You can join the class at any time up to 1 hour before the closing of the room. In this sense, be sure to plan your arrival time based on the duration of your practice.Mysore welcomes students with and without experience. To ensure that we can offer you the necessary help. Those who wish to start in Mysore should contact us and wait for our confirmation before coming to the shala.
